"Rock Island Rocket"
Here you see the Rock Island "Rocket" EMC TA-class diesel locomotive. This was beautiful train to see out on the lines. There were 6 engines (601-606), with various car consist from 3-4 cars, that could be seen pulling the high speed passenger trains over over most of the main routes in the middle of the country from the 1930's through the 1950's. This was truly a fan and passenger favorite.Print size: 5"x17"
